ALEXEY KOLESNIKOV
Alexey Kolesnikov is a virtuoso violinist, a polystylistic musician, a laureate of international competitions, and an outstanding improviser who masters the violin with filigree virtuosity and a refined sense of style. He has taken part in television projects and international festivals, impressing audiences with his freedom and creative energy.
Born in Riga, he won first place in the “Talents of Latvia” competition three years in a row during his childhood. At the age of 16, he moved to Moscow, where he graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in 2007.
For approximately 20 years, Aleksejs lived outside Latvia, working on significant music projects both in the classical sphere and in show business. Ten years ago, he returned to Latvia, where he continues his creative path actively as a soloist and chamber musician.
Alexey is distinguished by an exquisite sense of phrasing, precise sound production, and fidelity to the composer’s intent — he strives for deep and meaningful interpretation in both classical and contemporary music.
His repertoire spans a wide range of musical styles, from classical to tango and pop music.
